Pricing & billing
Tier shape, what's included, and how the billing actually works.
What's actually included at each tier?
Every tier delivers one deep dive on the top ranked niche per report, plus a ranked shortlist of other niches. The tier controls how often you get a report and how many niches appear on the ranked list. Starter is one time. Explorer is weekly with 5 ranked. Hunter is every 3 days with 10 ranked. Operator is daily with 20 ranked plus one monthly pick a loser deep dive on a niche from a prior report.
Can I change tiers later?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade any time from dashboard settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle so you keep the cadence you already paid for.
How are upgrades prorated?
Our payment processor handles proration when you upgrade mid cycle. You pay the difference for the remaining days at the new tier rate, then continue at the new rate from the next renewal. Downgrades are not prorated; you finish the current cycle at the higher tier.
Do you offer annual billing?
Not today. Every recurring tier is monthly so you can leave any time without a yearlong commit. If enough customers ask for an annual option we will price one that reflects the lower churn risk; we will not surprise you with one.
What currency are prices in?
USD. Polar, our merchant of record, displays local currency equivalents at checkout and handles the exchange. The headline numbers on the pricing page are the source of truth.
Do prices include sales tax or VAT?
No. Listed prices are net. Polar, our merchant of record, collects the relevant sales tax, VAT, or GST at checkout based on your billing country and shows it as a separate line. Invoices are downloadable from the billing portal.
Does the Starter credit really apply to a paid month?
Yes. If you bought Starter ($12.99) and upgrade to any recurring tier within 30 days, $12.99 comes off your first month automatically. You do not need a coupon code; we match it against your payment-processor customer reference.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit and debit cards globally, plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and a handful of regional methods that our payment processor exposes at checkout. Bank transfers and invoicing are not supported on self-serve plans.
How the analysis works
What runs under the hood, what the report actually contains, and how to read it.
How long does an analysis take?
Most reports land in 5 to 15 minutes after you submit. The pipeline runs research, synthesis, and a verification pass against a hard 6-dollar cost cap. The dashboard shows live runner status while it works; you do not need to refresh.
What is a deep dive?
The deep dive is the full grounded analysis of the top ranked niche: 6-axis fit radar, 7-axis rubric score, a 30-day play with day numbered actions, honest kill conditions, Devil's Advocate counterargument, competitive pre-mortem, and a stack playbook at three budget tiers. Every claim cites a real source URL. There is one deep dive per report, every tier.
What is the ranked list?
Alongside the deep dive, the report ranks a shortlist of other niches that scored well in the ideation pass but were not chosen as the deep dive target. Each entry has a fit score and a one line thesis so you can spot the runners up. List size is 5, 5, 10, or 20 depending on tier.
What does GO or NO_GO mean on a verdict?
Every deep dive ends with a verdict label. GO means the evidence supports building. NO_GO means the evidence supports walking away. A third label, REFUSED, means the preflight gate decided the niche is unresearchable or sits inside a banned industry and we refused to spend on guesswork.
What is source confidence?
Every cited source carries a tier: primary, industry, media, or low. The report renders these tiers visibly. We never silently downgrade a low tier source to look stronger; you see exactly which claims rest on thin evidence and can verify accordingly.
What is a salvage angle?
When the preflight gate finds the niche you submitted is unresearchable or thinly evidenced, we surface up to three salvage angles: adjacent niches with the same buyer or skill leverage where the evidence does exist. You can resubmit one of those salvage angles at no cost.
Can I score a specific idea I already have?
Yes. Idea Lab takes your idea, target customer, and unfair advantage as inputs and runs a full analysis against them. Available on Explorer, Hunter, and Operator. It counts as one of your monthly cycles.
What languages do you support?
English and Spanish, equally. Agents source evidence from both markets and the report comes back in the language you used in the intake.
Refunds & cancellation
Money back, leaving, and what happens to your delivered work.
Is there a money back guarantee?
Yes on recurring tiers. The first month of Explorer, Hunter, or Operator is covered by a 7 day money back guarantee. Email us inside 7 days of the first charge and we issue a full refund. Starter ($12.99 one time) is not refundable but applies as credit if you upgrade within 30 days. Full matrix lives at /refunds-policy.
How do I cancel?
From dashboard settings, click Billing then Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. The payment processor's customer portal is also linked from the same screen if you prefer to manage everything from there.
Do prorated refunds exist after the 7 day window?
No. After the first 7 days we do not issue partial cycle refunds. You keep all reports delivered during the cycle you paid for, and billing simply stops at the cycle end date.
Do I keep my delivered reports after cancelling?
Yes. Every analysis you received stays in your dashboard read only. You can sign back in any time to view, export, or share them. Active features (Idea Lab, new cycles, watchlist alerts) stop at the cycle end date.
What if the runner failed and produced no report?
When the pipeline fails for any reason we do not consume your cycle. You get a free rerun credit automatically and an honest failure note in the dashboard explaining what broke. No need to email us.
What we refuse
Industries we will not research, and why.
Which industries do you refuse to research?
Insurance, medical advice, legal advice, financial advice, tax preparation, and construction lien. These categories share a common shape: regulated practice where bad research causes real harm and where a research desk should not be the layer giving the answer.
Why refuse them?
Two reasons. First, compliance exposure: licensure rules in these fields mean a casually evidenced niche pick can put a customer in regulatory trouble. Second, integrity: the pipeline is built to ground every claim, but no public-source research is a substitute for a licensed professional in these areas. Refusing to ship guesswork is the whole point.
What happens if I submit one of these?
Preflight refuses before any deep dive runs. No cycle is consumed, no charge is incurred beyond the cheap preflight check, and the dashboard explains which rule was triggered. You can submit a different niche immediately at no cost.
Can I appeal a refusal?
If you think your idea was misclassified, email us with the specifics. We will look at it manually. We will not override the refusal list for genuine regulated industry work, but we have fixed false positives where an adjacent unregulated niche (insurance software, legal tech, etc.) was incorrectly flagged.
Team & integrations
Working with teammates and what plugs into what.
Do you offer team seats?
Yes, on Operator. The plan owner invites teammates by email; each teammate gets a magic link sign-in and a shared view of the workspace's analyses, tracker, and watchlist. Seat count and pricing are flat under Operator at launch; we will move to per seat pricing only if usage patterns force it.
How do I invite a teammate?
From dashboard settings, open the Team tab and enter their email. They receive an invitation link that opens an account in your workspace. Pending invitations are revocable from the same screen.
Can I belong to more than one workspace?
Yes. If you are invited to a teammate's Operator workspace while also running your own subscription, both show up under a workspace switcher in the dashboard. Switching workspaces does not interrupt any running analysis.
Which integrations are live today?
Web delivery, email delivery, and the weekly digest are live. Project Tracker, watchlist with score rise alerts, cross analysis Compare, and Idea Lab are live inside the dashboard.
Which integrations are coming soon?
Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp delivery channels are in active development.
Native exports to Linear, Notion, and Trello, plus a webhooks endpoint, are designed and queued. Status is tracked on the /changelog page; we will not pre-announce dates we cannot hit.
Data & privacy
Where your data lives and what we will and will not do with it.
Where is my data hosted?
Your data is stored with infrastructure providers we choose for their security posture and EU residency options. The full subprocessor list, with links to each vendor's privacy policy, lives on the Privacy page where it belongs as a legal disclosure.
Do you train AI on my data?
No. We do not share your data with any model provider for training, and we do not use your intake answers or delivered analyses to train any model. Internal product improvements use aggregated, deidentified metrics that cannot be traced back to an individual customer.
Do you sell or share customer data?
No. We share data only with the subprocessors needed to deliver and improve the Service (auth, hosting, email, billing, model inference, analytics, error monitoring). We do not sell to data brokers or run ad networks. We do use site analytics (Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics 4) to understand usage โ never to advertise to you or sell your data. There are no marketing or retargeting pixels on the product. Full subprocessor detail is on the Privacy page.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Delivered analyses are downloadable from the dashboard one by one. For a full export of intake answers and all analyses, email us and we respond within 7 days with the bundle. EU and UK customers have the full set of GDPR data portability rights described on the Privacy page.
How do I delete my account?
From dashboard settings, open Account and click Delete. We remove your customer row, intake answers, team memberships, and pending invitations. Delivered analyses are retained in anonymized form for internal product-improvement purposes; we keep payment records as long as tax law requires (held by our payment processor as merchant of record).
Are you SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?
Not today. We have not pursued formal compliance certifications yet. The honest version of our security posture lives on the /trust page: encrypted in transit and at rest, per customer database isolation, passwordless sign in, and a public process for reporting security issues. We will not claim certifications we do not have.
